Translation by Carlos M. Pla.

Foreword by Grace Morales.

The artistic and literary work of the artist and writer Ithell Colquhoun (1906-1988) is characterized by an independent spirit. Always on the sidelines, he lived as he created. Self-taught and rabidly independent, Ithell experienced an intense and eventful life: she felt an interest in the occult at an early age that gradually led her to a path of creative and spiritual search, she faced the Surrealist Group of England commanded by Roland Penrose in the After the Second World War, he went through several secret orders and astonished his country with numerous exhibitions. This work, halfway between the biography and the artistic catalog, tries to shape all the pieces of a passionate and multifaceted personality. The result is a colorful mosaic that contains many keys to understanding the magical and mystical atmosphere in which Ithell created. The book includes many of his paintings, as well as a selection of his texts and poetry. A look at one of the most creative and unique figures in the British art undercurrent of the 20th century.

Eric Ratcliffe (1918-2009) was an academic researcher, writer, and poet. He was born in Teddington, Middlesex, and served in the Second World War as an munitions examiner for the London "Blitz" before being posted to India. His academic career includes numerous research papers on thermal conductivity. Eric had the opportunity to meet Ithell Colquhoun alive, having both belonged to the Druidic Order. He was co-founder of Ore Magazine, a publication that lasted from 1945 to 1995. He is also the author of biographies and essays such as The Caxton of her Age (1993) and Capabilities of the Alchemical Mind (1999).
